Luxembourg City Park

During my first trip to Luxembourg (City) last year, I took a walk through one of the city’s parks. In a country known for its rainy weather, I was fortunate enough to enjoy a sunny afternoon on my first day. (It did rain on subsequent days, though!)

    • Thank you! Truth be told I was very pleased with how the post-processing turned out. It was a good object lesson for me that it’s really alright to lift shadow areas in a black-and-white photo. From the histogram the range of values for the mid-tones was a joy to behold. I’m guessing this is what added to its ‘classic’ look! 🙂

  • It’s nice to have lots of mid-tones to work with if you’re doing black and white, isn’t it? I think anything has to be OK, ultimately, because each photo is unique. You never know what might improve one particular image, even something that seems like it couldn’t work.
